So your thinking about having some work done. Maybe you've never used a Freelance designer and don't know what's involved or maybe you have, but want somebody new. This section describes working with freelance design solutions and our processes.

Our aim is to make viewing this web site part of the first phase in your project. Once you view the information, hopefully you will have a clear understanding of who we are, how we operate and where we fit in to your plan. Usually we break every project down into phases. This makes the whole process more manageable and transparent. The phasing may go something like this.

Phase 1 - Research the Project. The first thing we do is ask you to fill out a questionnaire specific for your type of project. This will help us establish who you are and most of the background information about the work that is required. We ask you to supply this form along with any samples you have to support your idea. Having samples to show us helps enormously in identifying exactly what your requirements are. These may include photos, web site addresses, diagrams, drawings, magazine cuttings or even the name of a TV show or advert which inspires your vision.

After this information has been collected we will write a proposal for the project. This proposal will include a Client Summary which describes our understanding of you the customer. An outline of your objectives, describing what you are expecting at the end of the project. The Scope of Services details what we will do for you to help you achieve your goal. Your responsibilities explaining the involvement required by yourselves. Finally a break down of the estimated professional fees that we will charge and our terms and conditions.

Once we reach this point, the decision is down to you. If you want to proceed we will send you a contract to sign and request the deposit based on the payment terms set out in the quotation. The deposit ensures we are committed to working together to reach a successful conclusion.

Once the contract is made we will then write a detailed brief relating to the project. This can vary in length from one page up to maybe even half a dozen. This is a crucial part the projects success and will undoubtedly save time and confusion in the long run. The design work will not start until it is complete so expect lots of phone calls from us at this stage.

Phase 4 - Execute the final build of the project. Detailed descriptions of phases 2 - 4 will be available once each stage begins.

After we have received the full payment at the end of the project, the job will be signed off and issued.
